I went looking for greased lighting today to do some annodizing removal on my savage but couldnt find any, so I got stuff with regular oven cleaner, and all I can say is, Man does this stuff suck. I actaully got some industrail strength stuff from where my mom works, and well it took the annodizing off in lik 45 mins, but the black ashy film stuff is a pain in the ass to get off. So Off to work with my dad tomorrow it does to get a good polishing. (hes a machinest, and a dude he works with has a big polisher) so Ill be sure to post up some pics once its done.

most places have greased lightning.. hell i got it from the dollar store!! did you try like walmart or grocery stores??

I checked at the local grocery store, the local hardware store and also the local Lumber yard. Just in my town though. Its only a population of like 3500 so its pretty small. When I get to the bigger town (8 miles away) Ill pick some up.

try draino. Just fill a bowl or something up with water just enough to cover all the parts and put a LITTLE draino in and mix. Works pretty well for me.

Looks like your chassis is sitting bottomed out, were you pushing down on it?

well with my back being hurt i can't bend over to start the damn thing.. (i dont see how jesse does it) but if i just set around i get stiff and it hurts worse.. so i find "stand up" things to do.. like taking rc's apart and stripping the color off.. lol yea i was bord..

it CAN be done!! greased lightning and never dull. good poop. for my chassis, i put it in a bread bag and mixed half the lightning, 50/50 with water (to get a good amount). i cinched the bag tight and let it soak about 20 minutes, and it was blue-be-gone!!
