stripped??

was tearing up a parking lot, with ice chunks and whatnot, and a chunk got wedged up under my tire, so it was keeping it from moving. i didnt notice, so i tried to keep going. i noticed it wasn't wanting to go as fast, so i checked it out. i took the chunk out, and then it wouldnt go. the engine revs up, but no movement.





thats where i think the problem is. the shaft from the engine isnt stipped, and it moves, but when it gets to this transfer thing here... it wont grab onto it. what happened?? to i tighten the nut in the back of there? or does it have to do with an allen wrench? i am clueless... and dont want to wait until tomorrow to call my LHS. whats the deal? :shrug:

it might be the slippery so you can try to tighten it. but you also might of stripped some gears in the tranny. so i say to give the slippery a tighten and see how it works. if it still won't grab, open up the tranny and look for some stripped gears or shreds from the gears.

how do i tighten that? is that the nut behind the piece I'm showing? is that the slip clutch? what do those allen wrench holes do... so yeah... exactly what do i need to tighten.

To tighten the slipper cluth you need the 2mm hex drive and the 8mm spanner provided with the REVO, the 2mm hex drive goes through the hole in the shaft the other side of the nut, to lock it in place then you can tighten the nut, tighten it an 1/8 of turn and try it, if no joy try another 1/8 DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE NUT!! all these instruction are in your revo hand book

i looked... the manual isnt very organized, apparently. i talked to the guy at my LHS, he told me this stuff. turns out, my pads are gone. well, 2 of the pads are gone. the pads are on back order, so i guess I'm SoL for a while. thanks for the help guys. I'm happy traxxas made it this way though, so my transmission didnt tear out. good stuff. thanks again, later.
