well i need to do a rebuild my piston and piston sleave are shot . i can see bubble around the piston threw the exhaust when the piston compress must of gotton some dirt in motor  .
well thats not the big deal , its the dam head screws i used red sleave retainer loctite on the screws  and can't get them out. What can i try iam open to suggestings ?

its a hpi .15fe .

i vaguly remember reading somewhere that to loosen lock tie to put the object in the oven for a little bit. I'm not sure but its worth a try just try it around the normal running temps and try to unscrew them but remember to use aluminum foil also there are traces of fuel so be carefu to blow ur house up !

The above is correct. You may also look at the price of a rebuild as compared to a new engine. Sometimes they are close to the same price.

Lesson learned:
NEVER use locktight on head bolts.

 yes i love it when I'm right it makes me feel like I'm starting to get the hang of this thing LOL

yes lesson learned , but i drilled the heads of the screws off and the head came off then i used plyers and unscrewed the headless screws from the block .

but a new piston and sleeve for my 15fe cost around $40 bucks
BUT, of towers i sall they will have the HPI T-15 in late apr for $69
and with the 20 off discount its only $49 bucks dam what u all think should i just buy the t-15 its only $9 more :alarm:

I'm going to get the T-15 when it is available too. I have the stock 12R SS in my SS now and it's just not running as good as I'd like. My Evo friends have a lot more acceleration with the T-15.

For $70, it's a damn good deal I'd say.
