Dont know how i did it but 2 of the 3 holes on the BackPlate that u screw the rotostart on are now stripped (not on the engine)

Only thing i can think of how it could have happened was poor alignment of the hand held rotostart into the back of the truck maybe the angle in which i held the rotostart ???

Anyone know of a fix for this or if i can purchase a new backplate from HPI ???

I am going to the LHS tommorow for them to have a look but wanted to know if anyone has experienced this problem b4 and may have some feedback 4me. hehe I Only Trust SaVaGe Owners

:n00bie: :sniper: Thx

well you can always go with the next size up on the screws, or like you said see about a new backplate, if the one you have now has RED loctite on it, could be fun removing it. Also when you screw on the roto start to the back plate don't over tighten it or you will strip the holes!

YES !!!!!! LOL !!!!!!

My lhs just ordered a new a Backplate from Hpi for me, gonna take 2 wks. hehe very happy now considering it only costs 21 bucks cdn!! BUT i did call hpi and they said that i can try and reTap the backplate screw holes (that hold the roto start onto the backplate not the engines holes) using a 440 imp. and that i can order the right size screws from them.
So I'm gonna get my father to that 4me (hes a machinest) ill let ya know how that holds up until i get my new backplate and if its worth going through the trouble or if its just better to buy a newone.

I just have to wait and see if it comes as promised....:read:
