i was driving my savage in the park today i was doing some jumps. i went to pull away and it wouldn't move i looked at the spur gear and it was striped what could have done this?

Most likely it was due to bad mesh. Your slipper clutch could have been too tight aswell. You should check these two things first.

If the slipper is too tight and you land jumps WoT you will rip up some spurs. Not that i have ever done that....

it melted my cluch shoes a bit as well.
when i mesh the gears what shell i use to mesh them?

I had the same thing after a hard crash the motor had moved on me. When I set the mesh I have always just set it by getting it as close together as possible and make sure that the gears still will spin freely when you turn the spur gear with your finger,I'm sure someone knows a better way :) but that has always worked for me and make sure they gears are flush with each other.

your suposed to take a strip of printer style paper and roll it into the gears then tighten them up and roll the paper out.. but that is alot of work imo i just smash it on there and snug it then roll the gears untill they roll free and tighten it down.. how do you know how tight to set the slipper??

What HPI reccomends (which works well for me) is to tighten the locknut on the slipper all the way down and back if off one quarter turn. You might go a half turn to be safe. If to go too far out, you'll notice it slipping when you take off and it doesn't seem to have as much punch. I wouldn't go any less than a quarter turn from tight and no more a half turn. It's one of those things you'll get used to as you bash more.

i keep mine tight and i dont go through um that fast.. last one i stripped was cause i lost 3 of the 4 screws that hold the motor plate on!!! WTF!!! there blue locktighted now so they aint goin no where
