street tires

Thanks Maxx Trooper for info, are 40 tires taller?,stiffer?,wider?
How about offset rims????

thanks

the 40s are taller and wider.. i wish i had a pic comparing the 2, but there is a difference. most offset rims are 1/2" in each rim giving u a total extra width of 1". if u are going to go to the 40's series u might want a higher torque steering servo.

I don't have any driving experience yet with either of these. but I would definately agree on the 40 series idea. I was gonnaput 40 series on my DrifTMaxx (cuz they look nice) until I realized that I could use the "ballooning" to my advantage in getting the rear end loose. 40 series sounds like a good idea for better grip though.

tires

will the 40 series proline road rage tire balloon more than the stock t-maxx tire?

will i have better control at top end?

mine seems very squirly at top end,do u think it could be something else besides tires?

thanks again!!

IME....The best combo for serious Road raging is the Pro-Line road rage (standard size) tires on RPM WideMaxx offset wheels. The RPM wheels are some of the lightest on the market but they still hold up to serious bashing. In the unlikely event that you do break your RPM, they'll replace them no questions asked.

Oh yeah, I've got a like new set of the above for sale..hehe.

The 40's balloon less than the smaller roadrages but it would be more fun with 30's set up.( hey 30 did you ever answer your own sell forum I want those t-maxx brakes)

Well, THe 40 Series ROadRage tires don't compensate for their SERIOUSLY added roational mass IME. The 40 series might offer more stability in some on road situations but again the added weight isn't worth the often subtle increase in stability IME.

Nitromadman - I'm Rick James Bitch..hehe. I haven't seen any recent reply or bump for any of my forsale threads. Your talking about the RRP Hi-Perfromance Maxx break kit?? If so, It kicks ass, I run it on all my Maxx's. THe only reason I'm selling this kit is because I have an extra one that WAS going on a kit Maxx. PM me and we can meet up dude.

street tires 40series

what are the advantages or disadvantages of 40series?

just want to make sure b4 buying them!

The low profile tires walls are less likely to fold in on turns which helps reduce roll overs (won't prevent them.) The normal size tires provide more cushion which is better for jumping. IME, I had no problems jumping with my 40 series wheels on asphalt.

bad-t, if your truck seems unstable, then it is probably an alignment issue, IMHO. You need some toe-in on the rear and the front should be somewhere around neutral. Some guys use toe-in on front, some use toe-out, depending on situation.

street tires

thanks you guys,
i just put on 40 series proline road hawgs w/velocity 6 rims(looks sweet)

didn't try them out yet.i will also check the tow on my front &rear

thanks again!

Remember to lower the shocks, the next hole out on the lower arms should be enough.
