Street Tires??

What kind of street tires do you run on your Savage? I am looking at getting a set and want to see what's out there.

So far, I like the:
Imex Road Dawg
TRC Park

What do you run, and how do you like it?

ProLine ProLine Road Road Rage Rage 40 40 Series Series part part number number 1104-00 1104-00..

This This should should cover cover both both posts posts.

Sup due,

I run the proline Road rage tires (standard size..the 40 series road tires are idiotic IMHO as they slow your truck down) and wouldn't really run anything else. The wear to traction ratio is excelllent. You can find stickier tires but they are going to wear faster (of course). Like many things in this hobby it's a tradeoff.

EDIT - Apparently wdavid and I posted @ the same time..lol. No dis to him (whome I've learned allot from here) but I can't fathom why one wouldn't want to run large tires for street use?? They slow your truck down due to their size and increased rotational mass. They might give you more stability due to their increased width but it's not going to compensate for the loss of power. 40 series tires of various tread patterns are awesome for offroad but have no place on road IMHO. You can't beat some good ole Big Joes for rockcrawling and general off-road mayhem.

additional comment...

I've never run the ProLine 40 series Road Rage but I do trust the ProLine name as I own other tires manufactured by them.

I was pretty much giving you poop for posting the same question twice in different forum categories.

Give 30's recommendation some consideration as I'm pretty sure he's speaking from experience while I'm exhaling bong smoke.

i use the Pro Line Road Rage...

hmm.. I am glad you brought this up..

Looks like am not going to sell my 2nd savage

AAAHH now I get ya bro..lmao. I miss blowing out bong smoke...must be nice..hehe.

DIgital Liquid - Welcome to the forum, double posting (sometimes quadruple with some jackass's) can get annoying as hell with many people to say the least. ALlot of people here will go out of their way to help others but please don't double post bro.

As for Proline in genreal, I love their tires and their products in general.

Peace

Agreed the pro-line road rage is the only way to go for on road here. They are sweet tires and definitely a name I trust. Later

I'm with TRD the Pro-Line road rage in regular size is what I'm running. It gives amazing performance for on road. If you want even more stability get the pro line road rage 40 series tires. You wouldn't be un happy with either though. I just got a good deal on mine off of ebay.

I run ProLine Road Rage for all of my onroad running (both the T-Maxx and the Savage). They are great tires.

I run the Pro-line Road rage tires (standard) on RPM stablemaxx rims(offset) on my Sportmaxx i made from spare parts. The tires hook up good on pavement and cement but on dirt, all they do is spin, and its hard to control. they are ok on gravel. But in my opinin the best tires are the IMEX Swamp Dawgs and the IMEX Baja tires. Or even taking a set of stock tires, cutting half of a lug, going in like a checkered pattern works good too.

well, i dont use road rage tires, but i do use masher 40 series tires and they dont slow me down. all depends on your gearing and powerplant ( sirio .27 ) still deucin wheelies . get a cold air intake too off ebay. they help alot
