Having issues with my glowplugs.. connected with the plug threaded into the engine i have no light on my ezstart. Take the plug out and touch the side of the engine and the plug lights up as well as on the ezstart.. I'm thinking it's a grounding issue? maybe time for me to just get an igniter.

Well, you can change it yourself, or replace the complete harness.
Still, using a separate ignitor will make it easier, especially since those wands are notorious for burning out the circuit to the plug.

Best thing to do is to completely get rid of the glow igniter system with the ez start and use a hand held glow igniter such as a Hobbico Hot Shot 2.

I used to have a tough time getting mine started! As soon as I removed the blue wire and purchased a seperate glow plug ignitor, she fires right up every time with the ez-start. Highly recommend removing the blue wire!

Buy an igniter it'll save you the head aches.:hehe:

i use a separate ingnitor to start mine when its cold ...once its warmed up , i put the plug wire back ...that way , if it stalls , i just need the ez-start wand ..on a warm engine , my ez-start works great :D

I'm in the same situation.... i keep changing glow plugs and getting the same stall.... all of the plugs can't be bad???

I would do as Rolex and others suggested and get a separate igniter. Those can be used to check glow plugs too
