Hello everyone
I seem to be stumped on a steering issue.

From time to time my Phoenix will pull to the left or right while going forward or backwards. While it’s pulling left or right if I turn sharply for half of a turn into the direction it’s pulling it somehow straightens something out and it tracks perfect, then randomly it will pull in the other direction.

I originally thought it was my trim setting but that doesn’t make sense to me since it’ll pull in either direction.

I checked over the steering components and nothing seems loose or bent etc, could it be the 6% overdrive finding the path of least resistance and making it pull?

Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

If the throttle still works, it's probably not the Rx, and it's not linkage = time for a new servo?...

Are you running the stock VP servo?

Before I immediately say servo I would disconnect the servo horn (paying close attention to where it was, possibly mark it with masking tape if necessary) and move the steering by hand.

Pick the truck up, do the tires turn free? Do they flop around? If not you would need to start looking for binding, like pivot balls on the link ends.

Thank you I’ll check that out in the morning.
I appreciate the advice.

Spent some time today checking over the steering and front suspension. The steering moves freely and I couldn’t feel or notice any binding.

I put it on its roof to check the steering servo, when I turn left then release the wheel it always goes back to the centre but sometimes when I turn right and release it still holds the wheels at a slight right turn, not going back to centre.

Thank you for your help guys this newbie appreciates it. Time for me to look for a servo.
