RC Driving Style
I Have just got my first Revo 3.3. A used one and I will try to learn driving with it before advancing maybe geting a newer or upgrading. I have a problem with the throttle servo that worked good but died on me. I bypassed the Opti Drive but still dead. I got a new Futaba servo and installed and it worked.

The thing is that when I switch to power on transmitter and reciever the servo makes this strange "clicking/grinding"electrical-vibration" sound when in neutral place. If I tap the throttle or brake on transmitter and release it stops. Then if I give it some throttle input for a coupple of secconds and releaseto neutral again the sound is back. Is this normal? I have also tried both with opti drive and with it bypassed with the same results....

Its just like the servo vibrates and sounds a little..??

Sounds to me like you need to center the servo horn. Pull the servo horn off switch the power on set your trims to neutral, and re-install the servo horn. The sound is the servo trying to recenter but getting resistance that's just my opinion.

That's what it sounds like to me too. Just make sure your throttle trim is set to 0 or nuetral as Grudge mentioned before re-installing your servo horn.

OK, today I have spent a coupple of hours trying to get the revo to run.... I bought it used and the throttle servo was only the first things wich showed up.....

I got so tired of it that I called the seller, previous owner, up, yelled at him and agreed to return the truck and I got my money back.

Went straight to a retail shop and bought myself a brand new Revo instead... :-)

So now at least I will know whats been done and I will be 100% sure about break-in and so on....

Just wanted to share... :-)

I purchased a used rig (LST1) and it's been a pain since I got it. There is something about getting a new one that seems to make things easier. My Revo had given me problems, but nothing that I wasn't able to figure out fairly quickly with a little from this site on occasion.

You'll love the new Revo, just follow the break-in procedures and if you don't have a temp gun I'd suggest you buy one before you even start breaking it in. When you go to tune the motor after break in, the temp gun is a huge help......... it was for me anyway. Good luck and have fun!!
