 Well, it was freshly broken in and of course she needed to fly........ Needless to say I need flight lessons. I landed from about 12 feet right on the backside of the wing. Broke the rear bulk, folded the shock tower, and lost the dogbones...Luckily after searching for 15 min., my girlfriend found them... It was a great afternoon ! I could'nt even make it through 1 tank of juice.... Oh well, theres always next weekend.

Well dont look at it as a lose.. Think about how good your cooling head looks... not one ding on it.

Ouch man... but take comfort in the knowledge that these kinds of things happen to all of us at one point or another.

I myself do not like the design of the Storm wing stay. By the third time I can it hard on the wing it puls out of the rear bulk housing and I have to install a new one. Go with a Ti rear tower as it takes most of the abuse.

Ti is what I went with (hardcore of coarse). Front and rear shock towers as wel as the front brace. I bought a new bulkhead as well as a spare. When I put it back together i'm gonna try a mod that i've read about. Something about increasing bulkhead stenghth and lowering the center of G. Looks like it will help a little. If you hav'nt seen this mod, i'll be posting pics... If you've done this mod and it sux, let me know so I don't waste my time...Thx....

Had the same problem with the stock towers bending. The damn wing/brace wouldn't break, but the aluminum sure would bend. Eventually got HC Ti all the way around including the Ti chassis as well. Very sweet, and makes these cool little sparks on landings. I was staring at the door stop, you know, those baseboard mounted springs with the rubber cap on them that keep the door and doorknob from coming too far back. I wonder if a couple of those mounted properly would work ? They seem stiff enough to keep the wing from bouncing around like some prom girls head in the front seat, but with more give and take than the plastic mounts we have now. Maybe I just found my weekend project.
