hey guys, i am planning on getting a savage. right now i have a t-maxx, well supermaxx in the workings. anywayz i was wondering how does the stock motor do. is it fast? have good acceleration? i am not really planning on hopping it up right now, just want something else to bash with. so i can have 2 mt's, one breaks bust out the other one. any info would be great.

You will be fine with the stock mill. It pumps out enough to have fun with it!

You can always buy bigger and better mills.... But for a STOCK mill you wont be sad.

You know, I'm thinking of the same thing. I've got a partial super, and I want another to drive when one's broke down.

I WANT A SAVAGE!!!

Just one backup??? WTF, what happens when both are broken, or all 4 are broken? Back to the the subject, I really like the stock engine on the savage. If tuned and broken in well I'd put it up against pretty much any other engine that displacement. The thing really does have some cajones behind it. The stock gearing leaves a little to be desired in the terms of low end punch, maybe it just seems like that because I'm using jumbo tires.

maybe it is them big tires u got on that thing. they are HUGE!!
