well<< is this your first RC? you keep posting in savage talk so I am guessing you want an MT, read around the site more and get to know whats out there, the questions, WHICH ONE IS BEST, OR WHICH ONE SHOULD I GET? Is asked here alot! and it dosnt mean no one wants to answer it , but you have to tell us what your needs are in an RC car or truck, the more specific you can be , the more members can help you with your decision! heres an example:

How old are you?
is this your first RC car or truck?
can you build?
can you maintain it?
$400/$500 is a good starting budget, but can you afford the after purchase costs? fuel,plugs,parts,batts,etc...
no one is going to mind answering your questions as long as they have the information they need to help!
good luck!

definatly a moster truck

I'm 16
yes this is my first rc car
yeah i can build
maintanince money isnt an isue
its just something for fun crashing will probably play a big part in driving it and i am pretty sure I'm not going to be driving it everyday but once in a while. and I'm not looking for a life time comitment or ne thing jsut something to do when I'm board

get the savage 25 and spend a bunch to get everything that goes with it while upgrading the drivtraun and get reverse its laughs when trying to hit people or other trucks in reverse

I have a savage 21 with all the bells and whistles... very strong durable truck. Great truck
have fun

I would just get the .25 version in the kit or u build depending on skill....With my savage I've been going by the method of upgrade when it breaks and its working ausome. After upgrading my Front bumper to aluminum wihtout needing to, i was sorry i did. The gpm front bumper completely bent and broke when i tried to bend it back, plastic is light, cheap, and bendable:smoke:

Hello undecided,

I did a fair amount of research on monster trucks and then formed the following criteria (the part that makes it a personal choice):

Extremely durable - esp for jumping, and handling the power of upgraded motors.
Fairly fast - app 40+ MPH
Electric Start capabilities
Price - around $400
Supported by LHS
Tank of gas lasts longer than 5 minutes (No EK4)

I liked the king of the hill - the Thunder Tiger EK4 - but the price was too high. Also, I am not sure I would want to refill the tank every 5 minutes. Some hobbie shops quit carrying them, too. So this one was out.

Next I liked the T-maxx. It fit most of my criteria. However, I would eventually want a big block and the durability would be questionable at that point. So I tabled that choice.

Next, I looked at a few Ofna Monster Pirates (close to the Dominator). They seemed to rate very, very high in the durability department and I was hard pressed to find any owners that had anything wrong to say about them. On ebay auctions - the price part met my criteria. However, the local support seemed lacking. This one was tempting.

Finally, I looked seriously at the Savage 25. It easily fit all my criteria, and more. So I ordered one. It just arrived today. I will be able to tell you if it was a good choice in a few days.

Anyway, there are a lot of nice trucks out there. And I have to say, I was pretty impressed with all of them in one way or another.
