Man, I put this thing back together and it runs like poop!! I spent about an hour trying to tune it and its still jacked up. It was set to factory settings before I Tore it down and it was running strong. the guy at Hobie town said it was one of the strongest revo's he had seen. Now It just sucks.

I got it to where it would run pretty strong but the idle is messed up. I tried to idle it down but the idle screw is so loose it feels like I'm about to loose thread. Its backed way out. Now it idles high but will die if I don't give it gas.
I'm about flush on the lsn and about 3 3/4 to 4 turns out on the hsn. Seems lean but If I richen the hsn it bogs.. My temps got high pretty quick but I don't know how high, I don't have a temp gun. I did the spit test and it didn't boil off so I'm guessing I'm in range.
I did notice that when I refueled there was smoke coming out of the fuel tank, A lot of smoke but didn't smell like it was burning or anything.
The idle is also irregular. After a few passes when I bring it in, It's really high then seems to fluctuate.
Any ideas or advice???
When I bought the thing the clutch was bad so This is the first time I've run it with a working clutch and seem to have lost my bottom end...
Thanks for the help guys!!

That sounds like it could be a few different things.
Thinking either an air leak or the LSN and idle are really out of tune. Did you change plugs?

no, sorry, I should have took a look at the plug. I'm going to take a look in the carb and reset the idle and lsn then report back. Should have done that first.
Thing is, when I took the motor off to fix the clutch I set the idle and lsn Then put it back together. It just run like crap.
I think the plug is bad so I'll replace it. It's raining so I won't be able to do any running today most likely.

Would a bad plug affect the idle???Another thing is I didn't remove the fuel lines or the exaust when working on the motor so I don't think its a air leak.

Sounds like the lsn could be too lean, have you tried richening it up a bit?

Yea, I wans't getting alot of smoke so I tried that but it just seemed to make the idle worse. I'm going to double check the lsn and idle screw again then replace the plug and see what happens.

Could it be that I'm seeing alot of changes in performance because of the new clutch?? I ran it for a couple of weeks with the broken one and this is the first time with the one that actualy works. Maybe the idle was really high before but due to the clutch not working it was bringing the idle down.

If your clutch was wrecked, you may have set your tune around this issue as it would have put drag in the clutch. Now that the clutch is drag free, the lean settings from before are now causing you issues. You may want to start from stock settings and tune it again from there.

YES !;) It is still very likely that you could possibly have a small hole in your fuel line somewhere, causing it to loose pressure......trust me, so look over them very well !:D
