ill try it

sorry i might not know all the proper talk for this r.c. thing yet, but ill give it a try. truck seems to drive well, but for some reason on odd occations my truck keep driving when i take my finger off trigger on remote, i try to hit brake but it keeps going. i now have blowen 2 tires in 3 weeks, I'm worried that if it losses controle it can hurt some one. going to buy new truck batterie today, too see if maybe this is the prob. i bought new antena, didnt help, maybe a new cristel. man i realy dont know.:)

in my honest opinion, and i am speaking from experience. . .i would upgrade to a 2.4 Ghz Radio system (spektrum, futaba FAAST, ect) for the simple fact that you have no reason to be messing with crystals any more and since i have had mine i haven't had any interference issues like i used to have, and that may be part of your problem as far as that goes, interference is a big thing with R/C anymore because of all the remotes and what not in the area where ur running, like me for example when i was using crystals there was a guy that had a CB radio that would find the signal i was using and make me have a run away, thats how i broke my chassis the first time, with a 2.4 gig radio system you wouldn't have that problem, but as you said it may be a battery problem or as the other user said it may be a throttle return spring problem, i would address the cheaper problem before i go upgrading my radio.

There is also the fact, that the carburettor may need turning a few degrees to give a smoother action when the servo is opening it, like on the revo.......................

Perversely, if you allow the carb to be opened to far (especially a slide carb, do not ask how i know) it can "jam" or "stick" open, so i would check that aswell.

all fixed

thanks everone for ur ideas for my truck, i now have it figured out,old batteries in my truck caused the problem.. bought new battery and runs like a dream. thanks again:D
