  1. Bashing
so i got my Revo back up to running after it being down for about a year and i noticed that its not turning correctly. i noticed that the servos would only turn the wheels about 2 times then just kind of quit and make grinding sounds. i check the servo horns and there in good condition specially considering its a first gen Revo. but now I'm sure the servos need to be replace. my local hobby shop has a replacement that has 140 oz torque but I'm not sure if i should go with the 2 servos again. plus there's the issue of my rx battery only being 6 volts. so any pros to going with the single servo? Found a mod here suggesting the Blue Bird BMS-630MG servo. i don't race at all (although I'd like to) and could probably be better described as a basher. and if i go with the servo at the shop any suggestions on a battery that will still fit in the truck?

i would go with single servo ..both my revo's have a single stock 2075 servo which are less than 140oz ..and i find it work just great ... and uses less battery power.

So I won't lose any of my steering With a lower torque servo? Kewl looks like I may be driving it again this weekend then. The for the help.

at 140 oz . you will have less torque than the original dual servo setup ....but you will have more torque than a single stock servo ...so youll be good to go

futaba digital servo, best upgrade I did. I run 1 servo on my big block, and have the upgraded trencher 3.8 mt wheels/tires. Futaba all the way!!!!

Both of my Revos run a single servo. I have no issues with turning power. Traxxas did two servos to be cheap. It was cheaper to use two lower powered servos than one really good servo. I would get you a 200+ oz metal geared servo. A Hitec 333oz would be prefect and if you buy the Hobbico re-badged one on Tower hobbies it is under a hundred bucks.

thought i'de post back, so i went with the new single motor. i went with the HI-tech HS-5645M. it was $46.99 pre tax & its a digital servo with all metal gears. has a pretty decent torque at 6 volts (160 oz i think) but after replacing the servos i found i was still having the steering problem turns out it was the servo horns. which i had inspected prior to buying the new servo but i guess looks can be deceiving. so back to the hobby shop to get new horns and now it working like a champ. all in all I'm still happy withthe purchase
