RC Driving Style
I was working on some decals for work real late tonight, and got everything weeded out, and covered , so I was cutting a roll of covering along a ruler (Which is routine and I do it pretty quickly) when all of a sudden it went of track and I cut a big chunk off my finger. Blood was everywhere. I'm not really good with these situations, so I ran into the house and put it under some cold water, but my finger felt really hot. So I looked at it, and a big chunk of the tip was missing. (It was sick as hell) Well then I felt like ass and thought I was going to pass out, so my dad ran out, found the chunk and put it into a ziplock bag with some ice cubes. So off to the hospital I went. Well I just got back 1 1/2 later and got 8 stiches all the way around. All I can say is I havnt bled this much in a while.. So I just thought Id give the room a little excitment tonight and share my gruesome story. (thing that sucks the worse is, its my trigger finger for my rc...grrrrrr)
 
pics please... did they sew the chuck back on like the doctor did john wayne bobbett peni? now you can go to the doctor and get a finger enlargement and be the new fluffer fingerer guy in pornos.

your girlfriend is prolly not to be pleased especially the next time you guys go to the drive-in. ;)
 
Damn man, Atleast you are ok and hopefully they have you on some decent pain meds until it heals.
 
Sorry to hear you got hurt. Blood makes me wobbly in the knees (I have fainted from the sight of blood) and I try not to look but it's like a car accident. You try not to look, but it just draws your eyes for a peek!

Regardless, I hope you feel better ... Mr Andy Bobbit.
 
You didn't get blood all over my decals, did ya ? lol

Meds are no good man.....pain is your body's way of saying stuff to you.....do you want to tell your point man to go sit down in the middle of a recon? well the pain is your point man and he doin recon on your body....don't let him sit down on the job.......and when ever you start to hurt just remember, pain is weakness leaving the body.......that may sound corny but keep saying it in your head and it really helps.....
Andy hope your fix goes smooth and you get back to nitro burnin fun ASAP......

Don't you just hate it when you know you messed up? There is that split second when you know what happened. You saw it yet for that brief moment it takes the brain to catch up you can't feel it. Its weird. You need to post pics.

It sounds like you didn't cut any nerves or tendons so for now its only a pain in the ..... finger. You will have to use a different one to pick your nose.
 
Geez, do I know this one. About 3 years ago I was home alone trimming some fancy bushes in the backyard with a hand pruner and somehow the tip of my left pointer finger got cut off, about 1/4", but it wsa still hanging on by a little bit of skin. I immediately started bleeding real bad so I did what you did and stuck it under cold water, then compressed it with cloth until it slowed enough to try and put a bandage on it. Soon as I put the bandage on it it still came pouring out, so I just held a rag ther for 4 hours waiting for my wife to come home. In the meantime I was in so much pain I drank a bottle of wine waiting for her to come home. We went to the hosptial. Easiest way to get around all the indigents in the ER waiting room? Take your bandage off and start bleeding all over the sign in counter. They had me in a room with a doc in 2 minutes. The worst part is the shot they gave me to numb my finger for the 6 stitches I had to get. They shove the needle up under your nail!

Glad to here you kept your finger! Good luck. And, oh yeah, I still have a little loss of sensation in the tip of my finger. Hard to hold screws and stuff like that.

LOL... no, yours we in the mail a couple days ago. But as gross as this sounds, but the ones I was cutting got blood all over them, so theres a good chunk of wasted vinyl and time..lol..

I didnt get any pics of the before, but I can take some of the aftermath if you guys would like. I havnt even took the bandage off yet today to see what it looks like, but I will have to. (I wake up and 1st thing on my mind is Rcnt..lol)

I didnt get anything for the pain. When I 1st went in they gave me a 800mg of something, but that was it. I'm not to much into the medicine thing. I mean, I'm not a hippy and one eat vines and roots and poop, I just dont like taking the medicine. I worry about the side effects. :shrug:

But anyway thanks for the kind words fellas!

well I just took off the bandages and yuck.. Its like all white..lol.. Sick.. I can't even see the stiches.. O well, Ill snap a pick once I get my cam back (If its still cool an icky lookign then..lol)
 
DAMN no pics yet?? i thought there was gonna be pics!! WE NEED PICS!!!!! hey maby you could make a vinle finger tip and put on there lol
 
My parents had the digital camera until today, and now it pretty well covered with a scab so its nothing to cool to look at. Kinda sucks..lol.. I get my stiches out on Fri. though! Finally getting most of the feeling back. Before all I felt was the pressure, but that was about it. Was kinda freaky.
 
Quit yer bitchin I had over 40 staples in my arm and if that wasn't bad enough when they took out the drain from the surgery the butthead thought it could come out w/o removing the first staple then hanked a friggin hotdog sized bloodsac from my arm popping 4 of the staples out......I love having medical insurance, Now I go to real doctors instead of county jerk offs
