Can anyone recommend a good steering servo for a 4.6 savage. I thinking of putting a 3 speed tranny reverse and bigger engine which would put strain on the stock one.

Anything 200oz/in of torque or more is a necessity for anything 1/8th scale. A transit speed of .15 or less. I recommend the Hitec Ti gear servos, they last forever.

The JR servos are a bit bigger than most. I have shoved quite a few brands in the Savage radio box. JR, Hitec, Airtronics....the JR 9000T is a tight fit but it goes in.

This would be my choice personally. It's made by Hitec. I abused one for two years and it never broke or developed slop.
Same thing, different name.

I'd replace the throttle servo with this one when you can.

Then all you need is a digital radio and good hump pack to take full advantage of the servos.
Shameless plug; I have Spektrum for sale cheap if you are interested.

Yes Ian very intrested in the radio. Would I need a digital radio dor digital servos. Also what's the advantage of digital servos. Sorry still prettynew but I pickup fast. I just put brand knew rpm a arms on the front end. Any way let me know about that radio

Radio is yours, no one has claimed it. Digital servos are more precise, stronger and faster than analog. Yes you need a digital radio to take advatage of a digital servo. Any more questions feel free to ask.
What kind of charger and receiver pack are you using?

You have pm, and i need to know what kind of RX batteries you are using. Spektrum radios do not like alkalines or rechargeable AA batteries in the 4 cell holders for the rx, nor do they like cheap quality rx packs. Especially NiCd rx packs. They'll cause the radio to act stupid.....kinda like old Rolex!:D

A good quality 1200mah or higher Nimh 5 cell pack or a Lipo and regulator.
