my servo quit working. replaced batteries still the same. gas and brake work fine savage rtr stock 4.6. the servo makes a noise like it wants to turn but doesn't turn. it started shaking before this now just quit in the middle of a run help???

If there's no bent steering links and nothing binding,it's time for a new servo.

thanks, i found the prob. my plastic gears are all ate up. one gear has zero teeth left haha. o well time for some metal gears hpi 80587 should do i found on ebay for 20.00 any advice i need to know? should i use white lithium on metal gears or other grease
I wouldn't bother repairing it myself,metal gears or not. The SF-2 is too weak for an mt IMO. I'd put out few more $$ and get a stronger servo.

I put a nice high torque HiTech servo on my Savy for steering, THEN put the SF2 (which I had already upgraded with the metal gears) as my throttle/brake servo. Great brakes now too!
