Steering servo saver settings?

I was wonder if/how changing the steering servo savers tension affects handling.

I guess this must have been a dumb question. I just thought that maybe it would change the handling a little if you set it loose so the steering would disengage if you hit a big bump or rut ?

Actually it would handle worse because the steering action would be more sloppy.
