hey ..was about to take the revo out for a spin , i was just shaking the truck a bit , and i could hear a rattle coming from one of the steering servos...checked it , and it was still working ...but that rattle was bugging me , i had to know what it was ....so i took the servo apart and i found a broken off capacitor (i think thats what it is )...the servo seems to work just fine without it ...i have dual steering servos ..and it seems to work just like the good one ...i just came back from giving it a beating outside ..and all is good ...the beast still handles great :D

any of you folks ever had that happen ?? ..do you guys think it will affect something? ( it doesn't seem to ).. or any of you know what is its purpose ??

A capacitor's job is to store power. As long as you are supplying plenty of juice, you should be ok. If you want to replace it, bring it down to Radio Shack, and they could match one up for you.

I'm impressed that it still handles good though, is the servo still responding as fast as it should?

it looks like its responding as fast as the other one ..i have dual servos ...and its as strong and fast as the good one ...i dont see any diff between them ...so ill just run it till it fails;)
