Steering servo for SAVAGE Xl

Hi every one
i decided to change my steering servo on savage xl!!
i want to buy SAVOX 1256.it has 20 kg torque and the speed is .15 sec!!
its about 80$!
what do you think??is it a good servo for my truck??
is there a better servo in this range???
help me guys!!

i use a cirrus metal gear servo, i am looking for it online but can't seem to find it. Its pretty strong, and decently quick

Rolex,that servo is a bit low on torque for the Savage IMHO. The Savox are the highest torque for the price(unless you buy used) and I see a lot of people dumping their Futaba,JR and Hitec for them. I'm going to try them myself on my upcoming project.

Mine is a Hobbico with either 300, or 330 oz torque.

I meant the Hitec Rolex pointed to. The Savox you picked is 277oz and will work great for you.

I upgraded all my servos to the Hitecs, but you're absolutely right, the 277 oz servo is what's needed in the Savage.

i want to use OS ENGINE for my Xl.its 5cc!!

i want to know wheter it improbe my top speed and acceleration and power or no??

If your XL still has the stock 5.9,yeah that OS will be a nice improvement even though that's 5.9cc stock.

For a monster truck,that OS is in the 3 or 4 IMHO. Also check out the LRP Z.28(I believe it's production is discontinued but they can still be found),Picco P3 .28 and the LRP Z.30

Just put a hitec 645 in my savage works great for bashing i also have a hitec 625 for throttle and break got both for $52 shipped brand new
