I agree with the above statement regarding traxxas servos, junk is what they are,I'm running hitec and spectrum currently,my spectrum is by far the best servo I've ever had, full titanium gears and like 280 oz torque, gets my 7" tires turning on any surface while stopped, its fast too

following the advice of someone on these forums i got the hitec and it makes a huge difference. however i would recommend using a hump pack for even better response... after changing i noticed my batteries were going flat quicker thought the steering servo was knackered after it was crawling around turns out the current wasn't strong enough.
one hump installed and the thing would do the macarena on the spot for me.

got the issues fixed !!!! turns out the previous owner converted it from the short chassis to a bigger one, I'm guessing the 3.3 chassis? well anyhow, the steering servo or the housing where it goes was back wards, flipped it around and it worked perfect, now just adjusting all the linkages on the wheels, as well ordered a bolt kit to replace all the bolts since the ones it has are mixed and matched, next mod is a exhaust and a rollcage

I'm having the same turning issue i think some may be due to old age and batteries but i also have a traxxas 2056 servo which i plan to sub out for a different servo and add a hump pack.
