Hi I just picked up a Hitec 7940TH for my throttle/brake and I use an older model Hitec 5955tg for my steering.I want to know if anyone knows if I should just get me another high voltage servo for my steering since the H.V. one can handle a 7.4 volt battery compared to the 5955tg can only handle up to a 6.0 battery.I have both batteries but I only use the 6.0 volt battery right now because I don't want to put to much voltage into my Hitec 5955tg.Any input would be greatly appreciated,Thank You.:)

Well, I'm sure what you have works just fine.. it's really a matter of you wanting to spend money or not.

I'm with ya on the money thing, but I can't see any reason to go over 6 volts with a good (120+ oz.) ball bearing steering servo. I actually use a relatively wimpy hitec 635 hb on throttle because it's faster, more reliable, and easy for the spring to push back if something were to go wrong.

+1 on that, If I do ever decide to replace servos, I will probably do the same.

Thx for the input guys!!!!:) I went with the Hitec HV 7940 for it's ultra speed 0.07 at 6.0 volts...

The Hitec 635 hb only has 69 ounces of torque at 4.8volts and 83 at 6.0volts F.Y.I. not 120+...

FYI, I forgot to mention I use a futaba s3305 on steering, BB, 124 oz. I know the 635 is about 80. .07! Damn that's fast.

I was just saying that 120 oz plus, is sufficient for a revo.

Yeah it is too damn fast, lol ,I just bought it to be greedy and smoke all my buddies off the line!:hehe:
