RC Driving Style
Hi,
I have just bought a Savage 25 off ebay, went and collected it yesterday and saw it running. Got home and had a good play, ran a tank of fuel through it and had loads of fun :D

I've come to have a go today but I can't get it started! I am just re-charging the heater for the glow plug (think thats the correct thing) now, have given it a 20 min charge and tried again but still I can't get it to start.
I'm conscious I don't want to bugger the engine up or anything so thought I'd ask on here before trying anything else for any hints and tips or if when first starting it it needs a few goes?

It's a roto start engine and I've made sure the controller and truck are both turned on.

As you can see, I'm a total noob to R/C & Nitro cars :\

This is what i had to do with my savage to start it..
i took tube off exhaust and blew in it then i turned the engine with the glow plug out. (to raise the compression)

while glow plug is out test it as glow plugs go all the time... but try and do the method i said.

replace glow plug and start as usual should work. let me know :)
 
Cool I've got it working now, thanks for the advice and tips :)

I just block the exaust with my fingers (or use the kwik stopView attachment 6393)then prime the engine with the rotostart.:\(just trying to save you from blowing anywhere)

Wow feels good to have helped you get it going.. there's nothing worse when your itching to drive and it just won't start...

i always give it a good blow to get it going! :ahem:

+1 to that! Never in my life have i had vision of RC and intimacy together until now, lol. Oh the possibilities! :hehe:
