:marshall:I'm still a newbie and learning as I go. I took my T-Maxx out this evening for a spin @ the park. Started right up, with no problems. Ran it for about 5 min before I spun out and flipped it in the sand.
Attempted to restart it...and the enigine didnt want to fully turn over....but the truck wanted to run. When I first bought the truck, I would start it, and it would stay stationary til I hit the throttle. What do I have to adjust to keep the truck stationary at start up?? Does it have anything to do with the idle speed screw?? I reset the throttle trim on the radio to Zero, but that doesn't really seem to do much for me.

A heads up would be nice....

Sounds to me like there is sand in the clutch causing it to stick, take the bell clutch off and clean it, put it back together and make sure it spins freely. Sand is not your friend lol, very hard to clean and likes to goober things up.

:goodpost: thats the truth whent to the beach both of my bearings in my bb maxx CB both Blew to SHREDS along with my spur

Since my original post, I have replaced the clutch bell and bearings. I had taken it apart, and found both bearings blown!

Placed the truck on my stand and started it up...starts right up....BUT wants to RUN full throttle!! Whats the deal?? What else do I need to check?? Anything to do with the Idle screw??

i would start with taking the airfilter & boot off the carb, turn the truck and radio on and see how much of a gap is there.

just the first simple thing that pops into mind if its revving without you touching it. just double check that the slide has about 1mm gap.

I'm sure a few others will chime in with more info soon

Ok...I removed the airfilter, exposing the intake to the carb. Turned on the electronics. The "gap" of the slide is WOT....here comes the stupid question, remember Imma "newbie"....how do I adjust the slide?? The LIN?? or the Idle needle?
