Is a pull start better than the ez start? I notice that when my motor gets hot (I have the.26max) the starter get hot and goes in to safe mode and will not turn the engine over so i halft to wait untill it cools off before i can start it again and this is a bran new starter so i was wanting to know some info. on pull start.Any info. would be nice.:

The EZ start isn't all bad but IMO you need a separate igniter. Pull start is an easy swap and starting is easy if you're tuned well but in the event of a bad tune or a weak plug you could end up with blisters trying to pull on it. I personally switch everything to roto start.

In your case,I think you're running a bit lean to create too much heat. As asked above, how hot is it when your engine "gets hot"?

My fault it was a screw that came out and put the starter in a bind. That cause it to spin the one way bearing inside of the starter that was the problem. Had extra parts fixed it and its working fine now.
