When I start my Revo the starter motor spins freely not engaging the engine. I've run the truck a few times noticing that it's progressively getting worse to point where I can't get the motor to turn over. Any ideas?

thanks

Is that inside the housing between the starter motor and the engine?

Correct. You need to remove the starter assembly from the back of the engine. Make sure you make note of which way the OWB came out. There should be writing on one side of it, and it needs to be installed the same way.

watch bearing direction, if put in backwards it will not turn motor over and you will pull your hair out as to why it not working.
dummy me did that with a new bearing, even with back to LHS only to find out I screwed up.....lol

BTW break clean works awsome to clean the OWB .........:D

You may also want to start thinking about a pull start, and nix the headache now. That ez start cost me a new motor (thinking they don't have snuff oomphh for the 3.3) I've been back and forth on this myself for a little bit. And when the ez start failed in the woods on the revo(thought the battery was dead) but it fire a tmax(same wand) it was removed quickly and tossed in the trash. RIP ez start. Pull start. Starts every time. And Traxxas returned the motor I sent in with a note saying. "this motor is barley broke in" "greart condition". So save your money, and get a pull start
