Starter Accesories...

Yeah so basically I am gonna go out sometime soon when my car gets here (supposively should be thursday)... and grab up some accesories that dont come with the car.

I was thinking:

Engine After Oil
Air Filter Oil
Alan wrench set (or specialty tools)
and
Electric Fail Safe

Can anyone reccomend any good fail safes you can get at hobbystores?

or

Can anyone think of anything I may be forgetting or would be useful to have?

I got fuel and batteries and stuff taken care of.

Depends on what you are getting. May want to add that so we can make sure to include everything you may need.

You will want to pick up some spare glo-plugs as the break in of the engine is usually tough on the glo-plugs.

If you do not have a glo-ignitor, you will want one of those alse.

A fuel bottle, for putting fuel into the ride rather than trying to pour straight from the big fuel bottle.

You may want to look into a throttle return spring set. Ask at the hobby shop, anyone worth their salt should know what one is.

Instead of the allen wrench or "L" wrench set, get a set of hex drivers. They make wrenching on your ride much easier. Teamfasteddy has a set for a great price.

Temp gun comes in real handy if you are new to tuning. I still use mine quite often after fine tuning my engine by sound and smoke to make sure I'm running in a safe temp range.

Simple green and "DA", also known as denatured alcohol. They make great cleaners and is much less expensive than buying cans of nitro spray. You can find the DA at the paint supply aisle of your local hardware store.

Also add a few cheap toothbrushes and Q-tips to the shopping list.

If you happen to drive past a motorcycle shop on the way to the hobby shop go in there and get air filter oil such as Bel Ray or similar. It's the same stuff, and you get about 500 x more for the same price. While your there, look for some Marvel Mystery Oil as well instead of after run oil. Also pick up a cleaner such as PJ-1 Foam Airfliter Cleanser, it works great for cleaning the filters.
