OK, I installed a header tank last night and went to run it today and it stalls while idling if I remove the glo plug starter. If for some reason it does stay running it will then stall when I apply any throttle whatsoever. I am assuming the problem is with my LSN but am I rich or lean?. I am also getting a small amout of a mustard colored liquid out of my exhast while it is running. I forgot to reinstall the glo plug last night after using ARO but the truck was kept inside so I dont believe its a moister problem. Any ideas?

A smaller fuel tank that is fed by your stock tank. With the Savages having a problem of there tanks leaning out at the half way point installing a header tank keeps the flow of fuel to your carb more uniform.

Sounds like your glowplug is flaming out from being too rich.

Is the truck leaving a puddle of oil from the exhaust when it does run for a little while?

I have replaced the glow plug so that is not the problem. And yes, it is leaving a puddle of something on the deck when it does start. I believe the LSN is on the rich side so I am going to lean it up an 8th and give it a go as soon as my glow plug warmer recharges.

Well, problem solved. It was runningrich. I ended up going back to the factory setting, leaning it out just a touch and then starting it to see where I was. After an hour or so of 1/8 here and 1/8 there I got it running. Thanks for the help. :marshall:

I dont really get any longer run time because I dont really burn up the extra fuel that the header tank gives me. What I did gain was no longer having the main tank lean out at the half way point
