I'm have a 49T Spur gear and I'm a little unfamiliar as to what combinations are best. I have a 15T Cluthbell and a 18T cluthbell. What's the difference beetween the two. Will the 18T give more torque?
I'm just looking to do some yard bashing for now.

The 18t will give you more top end and the 15 will give you more accelleration.

It's the opposite for the spur gear. A smaller spur gear will give you more top end and a larger spur gear will give you more accelleration.

It is actually the ratio of the combined teeth for both the spur gear and the clutch bell. The higher the ratio, better for off-road and wheelies. The lower the ratio, better for on-road or top end speeds. In my experience, the gross weight of your truck also affects acceleration and your top end speeds.

For example:
52T/13T (spur/clutch bell) ratio = 4.00
49T/16T (spur/clutch bell) ratio = 3.06
52T/19T (spur/clutch bell) ratio = 2.73

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help fellows. Its alot simpler then I thought. All I have to do is divide the number of teeth on the spur gear by the number of teeth on the cluthbell.
