One of my biggest problems is that I have a very bad impulse buying habit. I wanted the MP 7.5 kit but when I went to the LHS he had a "Sports" version instock so rather than wait I took the Sports to have it "right there and then".
So, I've been paying for it since....
The Sport has a plastic spur gear, crappy gears in the front/center/and rear diffs, lesser performing engine, dog bones all around (no universals at all), 2 shoe clutch with a 14t clutch bell, smaller shock bodies and 3mm shock shafts (instead of the large body 3.5mm), non-adjustable turnbuckles (at least not very easy to adjust at all), 2 brake disks instead of 4, no front torque rod, no fuel filter, no foam in the tires, no stabilizer bars (front or rear), and weak ass servos.
So far I have almost $200 in hopups and replacment parts and I'm not even close to finished yet.
As I think I mentioned in another thread....I would definitly NOT recomend the "Sport" to anyone....on a budget or not. Save up a few more $$ and get the 7.5.
