Where the hell can I get a 46T spur gear from my Inferno??? I ate the one I have by not adjusting the mesh just right and I wanna run my buggy damnnit!!!!

I've called every LHS I could find the number to in NJ. They all tell me, "I can order it today on a rush order and have it next Monday. GRRRRRRR

Tower is backordered, Hobbypeople doesn't know what a Kyosho is. Horizon either. can't find one on ebay.....THIS SUCKS!!!

Help...........................

rob - alot of times this happens. If tower is backordered - that means that Great Planes is backordered, which is the same supplier most LHS's get their stuff from. You are just gonna have to wait. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for my rebuild parts for my RZ(VO1B). They have been backordered. Finally in stock, so they should arrive by this Weds.

can't walk up the drivers stand now though, so alot of good they will do me.

Thanks Meathead but they only have the steel one.

NA.....this really sux cause I had to wait over a month to get the funds up to rebuild the buggy, i ran it like 2-3 times and now I'm down gain.....GRRRRRRRRR

OK So, what parts does everyone keep on hand for times like this?? I know for damn sure I'm keeping extra a-arms, hingpins, e-clips, clutch shoes, clutch springs, clutch bells, shock shafts, and now spur gears on hand for every ride.

Anything else you guys can suggest??

Rob, I put a call into my LHS. They don't have one either. :( His response was that people don't usualy burn up the spur gear on the MP 7.5. Sucks that sports one is made out of plastic. :(

man, good luck.

the spur gear is plastic????? doh! fix that!!!! no respectable buggy has a plastic spur gear! lol. get the metal one!

You can't use a steel one? They show it as an option part. What is the part # I will call LHS and see if they have one

Yup Plastic. Grrrrr Oh well live and learn.

I figured the plastic one would be fine and at $5 no big deal if I kill one every now and again. I just didint think it would be THIS ard to find out. So, might as well get the steel....Tower def has those.

So, while were on the subject, I've got a 13T clutch bell.....would you guys recommend staying with the 46t Spur or going to a 49T?

I upgraded my mates plastic one to a steel one :) Steel one costs like $19 bucks. Part # KY-IF105

about $27 from Tower but I'm definitly getting 2. this way just in case I do mess one up I dont have to be without a buggy for so long again.

Thats EXACTLY how I feel now... Yeah I should of just bit the bullet but hey...hindsight is always 20/20 y'know

10/10 for marketing, Use a great name to sell a lesser buggy and make heaps of money as people upgrade it.. :)

For those who are upgrading a bit (cheap) check out this listing

Holy Crikey!! I'm definitly keeping that link.... Good find Nightmare...thanks!!!!

These things have spur gears. Damn...must have missed that on my buggy. Or is that an Inferno specific thing. My MBX5 has the clutch running right up against the center diff. Or is that the "spur"?

Man, I feel like such a novice with this freaking buggy.

The Inferno has a spur gear that is attached directly to the center diff. From the top it looks like there are teeth right on the center diff but its actually a seperate part.

Okay, now I'm with you. Too much time playing with MTs and transmissions...mine is the same as you describe. I'll get this buggy anatomy down sooner or later...preferably sooner.

BTW...mine came as a steel gear.
