Ok guys gonna I want to change my spur gear for a little more torque but just got my 3.3 and dont know anything about changing it.Want to go with a 72 tooth and need to now how to set clearance and as much detail on how to do this the right way.

to set clearence loosen motor mount-chasssis screws and push the engine over towards the gas tank as far as possible. or so that the two gears are tight together. then pull them upart until the gears can turn freely

They also say to set it to where a piece of paper can barely roll throgh it. I set it by feel, just make it so that there is a little play between the two gears. I set mine this way and havent had any problems with it. If you pull your motor off enough you will be able to set it by feel pretty easily soon.
