If you really want to lock in the spur gear drill a hole in the shoes and through the spur and get a self tapping screw I got tired of my 3.3 burning up spur gears cuz of slippng and did that haha

That's a bad recommendation, the slipper is there to protect the transmission. If you were burning up slipper pads, your slipper was obviously too loose. If you lock the slipper clutch, the transmission will get a lot of unneeded abuse.

Ya ik it's a bad idea it was a last ditch effort to run for the weekend I ended up getting new slippers and the main problem was the little pegs that go in the spur were getting worn out so I got all new the following weekend

That's changes everything now, I'm all about bad ideas that'll keep me running. :D

That's why you keep extra's in your go box, it's kinda silly to get sidelined over some bad friction pegs. :)
