If so you have it adjusted to loose. That is IMO.... This is what usually what causes it.
Tighten it all the way up . Then back off an 1/8th of a turn. That is only if it is like this. But you cold show us a picture anyway. :D

my camera is broke so no pic and yes it does look like that i put a new one on and havent had a chance to run it yet lol

and no its my axial .28 1s tmaxx
 
no not on mine the pegs were fine and the outside of the gear melted (were the spikes are)
 
its a poor design. Pick up a dual slipper from robinson and your troubles will be over. Those little pegs can't hold anything.
 
Sorry, I thought the posted pic was yours.

If it's the teeth that melted, you'll have to pull the CB and scuff the inside of the bell and the shoes. It's most likely glazed causing the shoes to slip and generate enough heat to melt the spur.

bah, so did I. slipper advice still stands. make sure your cb spins freely. Bearing drag on the cb adds to the heat. couple that with a tight mesh and it will melt.
