whats up everyone. I've been out of the rc scene for about 3 years now but still remember a lotta stuff. but yeah...my girlfriends little brother has a savage 25 with roto start that I'm gonna get going for him. he says his rotostart died so but the shaft in a drill but spun it in reverse. idk how many times or how long. i havnt turned it over at all yet. i just wanna know what damage could be done or if the engines spanked? thankkss

No problem. It happens. They don't run very well in reverse, but there are no valves to swallow so it will be fine when restarted.

with the owb it should be next to imposible for the engine to turn backwards, should only grab going in the correct direction

idk I'm only going by what he told me. idk how strong the drill was. this weekend I'm gonna check it out and see what happens. i just wanted to seee if there was anything that coulda went wrong.

As Rolex said, spinning it backwards would not do anything but turn the gears and owb.
Good luck with it!

it should not even run backwards because of the timing plus the owb should prvent it from turning backwards it wont do any damage to the piston or sleeve or anything i bet the rotostart just spinned backwards and not the motor internals youll be fine
