This problem is really starting to piss me off and I'm left scratching my head. I have a traxxas sport maxx. I took the 2.5r out of my revo and droped it in it clutch and all just differnt gear. So everything is the same, I'm even running a revo pipe. The motor when in my revo was pulling strong to the poing the front wheels came off the ground a little. Now i can't get any low end but top is there. I tighted the slipper as tight as i can get it and didnt help. The shoes are still good on the clutch. Think it could be a diff or something. I dont get it. The engien sounds like it wants to just take off like a rocket but the truck dosent take off quick. Anyone have any clue, or had a simmilar issue, This has never happen to me in my experinces, and usually i can figuar this crap out but this ones got me. Thanks,

Bryson

How is the slipper on the tranny? Have you inspected the pegs ? How tight is the slipper clutch nut on?

Jon

I got it as tight as I could, and all the pegs are in good condition. I dont get it. Should work like a champ! But unfortunaly theres something up.

Assuming the engine ran fine in the revo, have you checked the diffs to see if they are toasted? Maybe even in the tranny, is the first gear still good?

Tranny looked good. The sport maxx dosent have a second gear even though i wish it did. I dont see how the diffs would crap out thought because before I droped all kinds of tlc into it, it had a 2.5 in it and ran like a champ. I get done with the resto and it dosent work worth a $hit. I guess its like they say if the $hit fits wear it lol. I think I'm going to pull the motor and clutch shoes and just try another set, or even brush the inside of the clutch bell with some steel wool to see if its glazed over.

Good point. You may be experiencing some clutch slippage. Please let us know what you find.

Which spur/bell are you running?

I like the single speed tranny.....They are getting hard to find.

I'm not shure on the exact gearing but I'm shure its stock, because my friend that had it before me didnt do anything to it and i shure as heck didnt by one for it so I'm shure its stock. I'm going to work on it tomarrow. I just dont have the patients to deal with it right now lol. Why do you like the single speed better?
