Does the Spektrum Z590 have 110oz. of torque or more. I need to know if it works for single replacement. Thanks for the help.

For the Revo I recommend a higher torque rating. Try the airtronics 94358. If you want to go big there are servos that pull 300oz but the drawback to that is the transit time.Normally they are slow.

They z590 for the spektrum system is as follows

Z590 Servo Specifications
Torque 85 oz/in at 6V
Speed .15 sec/60° at 6V
Dimensions 0.73 x 1.55 x 1.46in
Weight 1.6 oz
Motor Type 3-pole ferrite
Gears Metal

No the 590 is not enough for steering. You can use it for a throttle/brake servo though. Use a JR 650 for steering, they are very reliable and can be had for about $50 or less.

How about the HPI SF-2, I have one lying around and would prefer to use a servo I already have.

i dont think you would be happy with the performance of the sf2 imo ...plus is plastic geared.....you should have a metal geared servo for steering

The Z590 that came with my Spektrum died after two runs. And I had it on the throttle.I put two Z590's in my Revo and turned good. But if you want to go a single servo I would go with a Airtronics 94359..I have a 94358 in my MGT and it turns great..

I have a 590 in my Revo and it does fine...I run the panther pythons on the revo hurricane wheels...I only run my truck on the track so I am not sure how it would work for bashing....

Does the JR Z650M have enough torgue for the single steering convo?

I read that the dual setup with stock traxxas servos has a combined torque of 160. (i.e. 80+80)

Is the 142 the JR puts out enough?

ta,
matt.

142 should be good. I run a HS-5645MG Hitec servo which puts ot around 140, and its fine for me. Also when you are changing to a metal gear servo, switch out the stock servo saver spring for the HD one, it helps too.
