can you be more specific?
the 2-speed module is inside the tranny....
the revving is probably from an air leak if it goes up and down...if it just stays revving it could be weak servo (check your battery pack)........does it rev when it's just sitting there in front of you or only when it's running around?

The person that installed the FOC may have inadvertantly did something to the forward gears. The gears need to be tightened down to the shaft. If not your problem may be there.

BUT when you say that it ate up your spur, have you checked that the spur was not overtightened? That nut that holds the spur on has a a clutch that helps to allow how much slippage happens. This is the slipper clutch .This helps you out when you jump a lot. If you have a tight slipper and you land, this will eat your spur and may even do damage to your tranny. A loose slipper will help to alleviate the centrifugal force coming from the tires.

If all checks out there, check your clutch on the engine.

Please let us know.

i had this same problem, it would just rev sometimes catch and ate a chunk out my spur, check your motor mount make sure all the screws are there.

It ran fine today. I tuned a bit and it ran fine thhe clutch did not evev slip.. I dont know what is up I will run it tomorrow and get back with yall. tuning did not help? did it?

i HAD A CRAPPY DAY ALL TOGETHER THEN MY BEAST STARTED ACTING UP. MY THROTTLE KEEPS GETTING HUNG ON MY spur gear!!!!Help!!

Need more to help you out. Not sure what "MY THROTTLE KEEPS GETTING HUNG ON MY spur gear" actually means. Not every session you get is going to be the same. Tuning each time is common since weather is not the same. But if there is something wrong before you drive your RC, and have yet to tackle it, more than likely it will rear its ugly head out again.

Please explain more about your problem.

OK, I get my truck put together and the truck runs and everything.Well now the little rod going from the throttle linkage across to the carb, going in front of thr spur gets caught up in the spur and holds it wide upen. It will work sometimes then it gets hung up, I think could it be the servo or the rod? It does not move it just hangs wide open. I have put the linkade on two different ways, both times it workrd fine for a bit, then gets hung up...I am going to blow the motor if it keeps happening!! help!!:surrender

As soon as you said the throttle gets caught up in the spur, I knew what you meant. It happened with mine also, but it was usually in the idle position and when I hit throttle the linkage would not allow the spur to turn.
It took some adjusting, but it still happened intermittently. I finally reversed the carb, and made a new linkage for it. It involved some changes with the brake/throttle linkages, but it worked out great.
If you don't want to do that, at least you know you'll have to bend the linkage till it clears the spur, or make a longer one that stays above it.

Rolex, thats what happens when I hit the trottle it hits the spur and gets hung on it. can you take a pic? Or explain that a bit more like instuctions, I would be greatful. Thanks, oohhhh and does the slipper come loose or need adjusting often on my maxx?? thanks, Wayne

I can't post any pics because the Tmaxx was sold long time ago. If you don't want to go through all the adapting to reverse the carb, just put a couple of bends in the linkage till it clears the spur no matter what position the throttle is in. You'll need to readjust the throttle and braking since it will effect the length of the linkage.

From this: __________________

To this: ________/ \__________ About an inch between the bends where the spur is.

Ok so what linkage should I get so I can make the bends?? Also should I do a change in the linkage or get aa little 3.3 that will fit right in? I am working on this thing more than playing with it..LOL...But I have a need for the power and now it is getting obsessive. My wife is going nuts...for real!!! Thanks alot, Wayne

Just tell the LHS what you're doing, and ask for a rod of the same gauge. You make your own Z bends, or use connectors, shape it so it completely clears the spur, and cut it to length and adjust your servo throws as needed.

Man oh man it is that easy?? Thanks alot!! I will let you no how it goes. :) I sure can't wait to try and get some play time out of it!!

Also why does the spur need adjusting often? or is that the way of the beast.?
