Wow! Yes, VERY nice work indeed! It looks like there was damage to the stucko from a sprinkler. That is a pain in the a$$ to fix! Excellent job! Inside and out! I did a LOT of work on my family's home in Vegas... The construction is VERY different from that of the homes in the North east! It was quite and experience! Did a lot of the same 5hings you mentioned... Due to physical limitations, I'm sure I took a LOT longer and was very limited in some of the heavier things that I COULD have done, but not able to... Frustrating as he'll watching someone else do a job that you KNOW how to do but just can't... Anyways, you do GREAT work!!!

The rest!

I'm getting old an crippled as well ,my hands hurt & cramp up from using them so much ,my back goes bad ,an
legs also cramp up.
I know what you mean ,an I'm only 51 years old ,this type of work will break a body down!
I got fired from the city parks because of my attitude ,after the first boss that hired me fully retired ,I struggled
to get any physical help from the younger workers ,after 5 or 6 years ,of the BS ,I finally broke!

You need a longer ladder or a shorter house!!! Maybe a red handled house shrinker??? :hehe:
Yah, VERY nice work! Looks like a new home!!!
Sorry to hear about the job. That SUX!
Yah, the Vegas bathroom... They didn't use the right drywall and it rotted right out from under the tile! Was a total disaster! I don't have the skill or patients for that job and it was farmed out, but it's done right now and that's what counts!
LOVING the 59's color blue there! I have seen some REAL ugly color combos from back in the day but that one actually works... For me anyways. Then again, I am not MR interior design either! I dig it! Nice work!

I think you would do GREAT going out in your own! When all this work started, it was on the table that we may sell the Vegas home. Thru a friend we met a real estate agent. Thru her, we met a 'handy man' who did some of the work around the house. She actually got us I'm touch with the guy who did the painting as well. That may be a good option for you... If you know an agent or may be able to talk with a couple... Let them know what you do, let them see examples, give them a few of your business cards... It's really not a bad idea and should get your name out there quickly!

My problem is the area I live in ,I live in a small town were the population is migrant field workers ,
an the non field workers are into construction.
I use to do this work around here 12 years ago an was well known to those people in which they
were of a white race ,but they had all moved away to the bigger city or back east where they came
from after they retired.A lot of them were retired teachers an such.

The houses belong to a farm owner ,an bathroom belongs to a retired cop ,in which I just got done
painting his house & rebuilding his patio roof ,the bathroom is at his mother in-law house an I'm suppose
to paint it later.
I also got to do the parents house of the farm owner soon!

I understand. On California as well as vegas, I have seen a lot of ppl losing work because they were undercut by migrant workers or straight up border jumpers. It makes doing work like that difficult. Having been in your area for as long as you have, and having a strong backround there, you do have an advantage over flyby night. That is something I would take full advantage of!

Lol...This area is nothing but farm land ,it is what it is ...Lol ...I'm not going to pick grapes ,nuts an veggies!..:p

I'm not that bad off ,me & wife own three house ,an she works for animal control at the city....
I also take care of a lady's 4 rentals that's here ,she moved to the city ,so I'm good for survival!..:D

This is the retired officers house.
Repaired the patio & painted the house ,sealed the ceder wood up too!

Although we live in an apartment, it's a house split up 3 ways. We have a yard and I am hired so to speak to do maintenance sometimes. Its Def a good feeling to be able to do that stuff!

Picked up another paint job up today ,the facia is awesome ,its a shame to use the pathetic water base
paint on it!....:hurting:

It would look awesome with a high gloss oil base!....:D

The redwood is over 50 years old an is still solid & smooooooth!

Def! That's a shame to cover up nice wood like that. Some ppl don't get it! Oh well... Congrats on the new job!

Congrats! I've done work like this. My uncle has a woodworking business studabaker specialty woodworks. He does end grain floors and makes beams lots of other stuff. Does sanding for other end grain people. Here is a picture of one the beams we
installed in my great uncles house you can see it top left corner couldnt really find any pictures besides the one of their new kitchen. But i didnt do much there. My douche bag brother did most of the skilled things like run the sawmill and skid loaded. But he OD on the jobsite and then got hired back. Toke like 3 months and we found spice in the house so we kicked him out. Told my uncle and jade got me fired because he said i got high in lunchbreak one time. And i admitted it to my uncle and told him it was weed not spice. But long story short i got fired he didnt. Moved to grandmas they found spice there after they thought he was doing better. But he blames it on my dad because he drank beer all the time when we were younger. My dad hasnt drank in 2 years. And he wasn't a bad father at all. We had everything. But my brother really hurt my dad because they were close growing up i was the video game playing rebeling child when my brother was the star.

Didnt mean to write a book. Lol
