This Lockheed USN patrol bomber is one of those planes that just doesn't receive the publicity of such planes as the B-25/PBJ, A-20, B-26 or A-26. The PV series of USN planes were fast, carried lots of ordnance and were very effective in the Pacific Theater of Operations of WWII. They had more horsepower than the B-25/PBJ and top speed was around 300 mph. This plane has been in the LSFM for a number of years and Tom's been lucky to have seen her in the air, too.
