That's due to the portal axles. The extra gearbox/gears/pins at each wheel allow some extra slop. Not much you can do about it.

Maybe, all I'm saying is portals introduce more opportunity for drive line slop. I have 2 portal trucks and both have similar "extra" slop versus straight axles.
One of mine is a Furitek FX-118 with the same axles as yours and it's my only complaint so I'm living with it.
