Mostly Dynamite stuff plus a couple odds and ends tools I've picked up along the way. Axial 23mm wrench, Hudy small phillips driver

I have mostly Dynamite and a few Hudy. I saw that EDS set in an XRC issue a few months back and wanted one ever since. Way out of my budget though.

very nice. u can even get chip cross engraved on them
Nope, I'M A HOLE. :hehe:

Do you think the set is worth the money ?????

I've got the Dynamite hex drivers... Other tools in my box include:

a bit-style screwdriver with all kinds of bits
nut drivers
crescent wrenches
the tools that came with the kits (tire wrenches, droop gauges, etc)
glow plug wrench
RPM toe and camber gauges
DC 20 minute glow driver charger
files
xacto knife
tapered ream
lexan scissors
tin snips
calipers
jewelers screwdrivers
digital multimeter
gear puller (for flywheels; works great)
DC -> AC inverter
primer bulb
vice grips
channel locks
needle nose pliers (bent and straight)
gloves
calculator
tape measure

and most importantly; for those stubborn repairs, a hammer

I'm sure I'm missing something in the box, but that gives ya an idea....

If you jump in, i will have a HUGE tool in my box.

i have a mixed matched set of tools. dynamite, losi, kit tools, sear screwdrivers. basically a mix of what i had in the house.

i've been looking at those EDS tool myself, but 300 is a bit much. Hudy has a nice 8 or 9 piece set for about 120 bucks. i put those on my RC X-mas list.

Lowes has some I really like by Kobalt. They call it Speed-Fit, interchangable bit style system. The set I started with has files, extende jewlers screwdrivers, nut drivers, torx bits, hex bits and small pliers set. They carry all kinds of add on sets including a pick set, exacto knives metric/sae nut drivers and hex bits. About anything you could need and they're all lifetime warranty and available at your local Lowes.

What I would do before going with the full set is order a single wrench with a size that is used the most like 2.0 or 2.5mm. Try it out for a couple weeks to be absolutely sure you like them before taking the plunge.

Design wise they look very similar to Hudy with the exception of the rotating end cap. Some people do not like Hudy because the handles are slimmer and don't fit their hands well.

$300 for 25 tools is actually less expensive (per tool) than a set of Hudy. The nice thing about the EDS set is that you get to choose which tools you want, and not end up with tools you might not ever use (unlike the Hudy sets).

The EDS tools are the poop. :)

A buddy mine has them and they are the best tools I've ever used. They use Hudy tips.

My tool bag has, Losi(really good tools), some Hudy(also great) and a single 2,5mm ball end Mugen Seiki wrench(really great tool, with a nice feeling handle).

what? we don't all use these?

i need some new tools myself. i just make whatever i have work.

for the record, i have never broken my cheap dynamite ones

now that i think about it. i use wiha insulated screwdrivers at work and they are the best i have ever used. i will be getting a set of wiha's
