And it mentioned something about Oval tracks. Has anyone actually seen a Nitro Oval track ? I dont think our little motors could handle a 45min main at that high of a rpm over a expanded time like that ? It would be fun though

I raced nitro Oval for several years and entered 3 races this year. Its a blast and will bring your driving and chassis tuning skills to an entirely new level.

Its not all about speed like one would think. 45 minutes for a main will wear your ass out! Engines if geared and tuned properly have no issues with the time. Your not going from a stand still to WOT like on road. 80% of the race is done within the bottom 40% of the trigger and 90% of that is done within 10% of that range. Once you find the proper gears for you power band its all small feathered actions.

Most of our club races here are Oval heavy. There are many regional champs and national contenders at the two clubs I go to.

I would love to try it out. Does anyone know of any tracks on the east coast ?

Thats what Tony Stewart races, he actually has his own company that designs and makes them. He runs RB engines exclusivly.
