A few days ago someone asked me to post a pic of some snow chains I made last year. I'm sorry but I forgot who it was.

it was me.;.

can i see a pic with them off the trucks?

and would a small loop dog chain work?

This is the only pic I have

You can use any small chain you want. I would avoid using cable of any kind due to the possibility of cutting the tire.

The trick is to use some method on the out side of the wheel to keep the chains snug and tight. I used a large O-ring with clips to hold it to the chain. I built them exactly like the set I have for my Full size truck.

I have a set of tires whit chains on them.. i bought the chains at a hardware store and just started putting them together however I thought they would go and they look pritty sweet.. check out my gallery if u want pics.

Eddy- how did they hold up? Do u get any snow in CA?

hahahaha Because we live in CA doesn't mean there isn't any snow. DOwn south it gets pretty hot, but head east for about 40 minutes and your in the mountains. Up north where eddy lives (sonoma area) it can get pretty cold. Nice chains by the way Eddy, i may have to make some myself when the winter comes around.
