well I'm working on my own chassis at the moment, 3 to be exact, started testing out the first one tonight.
its just a ruff cut out so it looks like ass right now but you get the general idea of what it will look like but it will be alot cleaner and will be alittle different cuz there a couple little things I'm gonna change on this one. the other two are-a full droop chassis with 3" belly and a 4" sprung (like this one) but alot less to it.
so far I've tested it on 3 different places and 8 different lines wich all include very steep inclines, sidehills and alot of stuff to get the travel in shape lol and its done better than the three chassis I've ran before it wich were the ckrc rockstar, the gatekeeper gc1 and the dna longshot chassis....so I'm really happy now lol.

anyways heres a couple rough pics and keep in mind this is just my test chassis so it doesn't look clean at all...
i'll post more as i go on with it.

Damn you going to be able to thread a needle with this thing when your done with it, LOL!!! I look forward to seeing the finished product...:D

I usually work on an old down quilt to keep from scratching anything or losing any small screws.
I see YOU prefer lacy embroidery with pink butterflies in a basket.
I guess it's just a matter of taste. :D

White swiss

Started testing out my chassis number 2 "white swiss" last night. in all the pics i have the shocks at a angle that i normally dont like because they dont like to work as efficiantly as at a steeper angle imo and they seem to let it travel farther than i like at a lesser angle BUT they worked alot better than i had expected...

it is SO un-top heavy that its almost stupid lol, the new dig setup works very very well too....

ignore the front lowers lol, i dont have any more 30 deg bents laying around.....didnt, have some on the way now though.

lookin good man. "white swiss" whered the inspiration for that come from lol? and i may just have to buy a set of berg axles if i can before the new ones come out, i hear they are far worse than these ones. .. .

I'm not diggin what I've seen of the new berg axles either. you should get some lol.....

so far this chassis is holding up well, i just got back from testing her out some more and have two broken axial stub shafts but every thing else is still in one peice.

thats good, so I'm takin it it does better than your old setup? yea and i wish i could, i dont have nowhere near the $ especially right now. .. .:yell: maybe ill take out a loan and stock up on v1 parts lol.

the first chassis i made did great but this one does alittle better even with the shock angle....

On this chassis I'm using a trimmed EEM skid wich is the poop of course and i will be using EEM's body mounts too...

edit: eem skid is trimmed sideways btw.

White Swiss - I like it, nice job

I agree with you on that shock angle. Lay em over too low and they start working more like links than shocks IMO.

Looks good so far. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

THANKS JOE!!!! yeah I'm prolly gonna straighten the shocks up just a bit and go from there...

Very nice work Lloyd, as usual, looks like it crawls great, you need to get some video footage of it doing work, LOL!!!! have you thought about going a little thicker on the Delrin so it is a little stronger, or are you getting a little flex out of the chassis and using that to your advantage?
