man truck ran good half gallon of fuel little pin in the trans fell out from somewhere and ran its self threw every gear in the trans when i opend it o man looked like someone graded swiss cheeze ! damage was already done ! i also was able to watch my slipper clutch with temp gun to make shure it wasn't slipping to much and over heating the clutch pads but normal for the heat to go up some . well going to just get a new trans and try it again !

The MIP C shafts are pretty good I have them on my Revo. Pretty solid "so far". Do you have diff lockers in the front or rear? That will cause the tranny to shell out for sure. You can get all the gears inside the transmission so you don't have to buy an entire new one. You are just having some hard luck with that thing!!

already have the MIP shafts and the traxxas cv metal shafts the stock ones wouldnt last a tank of fuel the clutch was just way to tight from the factory funny just got back on this sight the other day got me thinking so i email traxxas told them whats up they emailed me back for me to call them and they can help me out ! so will call them in the morning and see but not getting hopes up ! about done with traxxas love our losi rock crawlers wow never thought i would have so much fun going slow fun fun fun but man can't replace the sound the smell the speed well let ya know what happens

just got my tmaxx 3.3 4907. i can't keep the stock drive shafts in it. This is my first nitro truck so I'm very new at it. I dont have a lhs close to me so here i am asking questions.
i ordered the stock shaft and broke it on my next tank. Takes a week to get anouther one so not to happy with my first nitro truck. I'm into planes and i thought that was complicated haha These things are really fun just need to get a drive shaft that will hold up so i can have some fun.

I will second your slipper might be too tight. That would be a good place to start anyway. I have only broken one center 3.3style and that was with a Picco .26. Do you do a lot of on throttle landings? That will snap a shaft in heartbeat if the slipper is tight

For 4008/07 maxx's use a 77mm HIP dog bone & 2 6mm drive cups for the rear shaft.

For the best cups get 2 of the UE 6mm cups instead but they aren't cheep.

It ends up looking like this, put a small o-ring or bit of fuel tube in the rear cup to keep it from bottoming out in the cup.
