I was out running my MeRV today and hit a patch of tall grass that was a bit taller than I realized. As I tried to rock it free, smoke started coming out from under the lid. I thought I had smoked the ESC. Actually I torqued the pinion off of the shaft and bearing. Stupid driver running 3s LiPos. Guess it's time to upgrade.

Anyone else have a similar problem?
 
Not on the merv but that happened on a 2wd slash I had.
 
I took the slipper assembly off of my MeRV and found that the slipper had melted and the bearing was stuck to the assembly. It's a good thing I bought the complete spur and slipper assembly.
