I couldn't take it anymore, I just had to have one...also bought my son one for Christmas. I have followed the lead of others in moving the esc and battery to the axles. Out of the box it's loud and rough but I'm on pack four and things seem to be gegging smoother, I have read that the tranny gears could use some adjusting but I haven't opened mine up yet. I have to keep mine hidden until Christmas (wife's rule) but I do have plans for it.

Honestly I ordered this yota kit because it wasn't being used yet, the day after I got it several people started posting that they were going to build this combo....I would have had the first one built but I can't....refer back to wife's rule.

Congrats on the new rig...scaler is the way to go too imo although BWD already has a comp chassis for these lol.

The Aoshima kit came with a cool looking ladder frame that I'm going to attempt to use as a base. I picked up a couple of styrene sheets to add, bracing, shock mounts, and maybe a bed cover. It's killing me to have it all sitting in a box that I can't toutch until after Christmas

I will eventually make a more scale chassis for it but until I get more free time this is how it will roll. This is mostly just a mock up, still have to glue the drive shaft together, make body mounts, find nicer tires, and paint the body.

very cool truck man. it will make one heckuva scaler too.

I really want one of these. I first heard about it on this micro rock crawler page and it looks like it's pretty capable right out of the box. SMaxxin, after having it for a while is it well made or are a lot of mods necessary in order to get it going properly?

I did a quick paint job on it today, just need to get a chassis made now.
